JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Overview:

The Vindman for Congress Campaign is seeking a dedicated and experienced Finance Director to spearhead the finance program for one of the most expensive and competitive frontline districts in the country. In Q1, we would like the incoming Finance Director to work closely with the outgoing Finance Director to become familiar with the campaign’s fundraising landscape.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy in collaboration with campaign leadership. Monitor fundraising progress, adjust strategies as needed, and ensure the financial needs of the campaign are met.

  • Directly work with national fundraising consultants, digital fundraising consultants, and other team members to manage and align multiple fundraising channels.

  • Manage all aspects of the call time program with the candidate, including sending follow-up communications, tracking pledges, recording data, preparing thorough lists, and running a donor acknowledgement program.

  • Oversee the expansion of existing donor databases by identifying, researching, and recruiting new donors.

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute fundraising events. Ensure seamless event logistics, engaging programming, and meaningful donor interactions.

Required Qualifications:

  • 2-3 cycles of relevant campaign experience including at least one in campaign finance.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with donors and team members.

  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with an eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Docs, NGP VAN, ActBlue, and other fundraising and compliance tools.

  • Passion for politics and a commitment to Democratic values.

  • Virginia finance experience preferred but not required.
