Background:
State Senator Kyle Evans Gay, Candidate for Delaware Lieutenant Governor, and her team are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Director. A mom of young kids, attorney, advocate, and State Senator who has successfully delivered legislation to expand childcare and protect reproductive justice and voting rights for Delawareans, Kyle is running an energetic campaign that’s about bringing new leadership and new ideas.
The Finance Director will report to the candidate and Campaign Manager, and will be predominantly responsible for helping implement and expand an ambitious fundraising program across Delaware’s three counties.
Responsibilities:
Oversee all finance operations for the campaign and create a finance plan and budget.
Create call-time materials, supervise and/or staff call-time with candidate.
Develop and maintain relationships with institutional donors and PACs.
Identify and research new donors.
Build and execute a dynamic events program.
Conduct follow-up for solicitations of contributions
Maintain accurate financial records.
Oversee junior finance staff, campaign team members, and interns.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
2+ cycles of campaign finance experience is preferred.
Experience managing call-time of a principal.
Experience with political finance plans and budgets.
This position will require a valid driver's license, vehicle, laptop, and phone
NGP, ActBlue, Excel, and Google Suite proficiency.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent time management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Willing to work campaign hours, including nights and weekends as needed.
Committed to meeting the goals of the organization and using data to inform decisions.
Committed to bringing a detail and results oriented attitude to the organization.
Positive attitude and an ability to approach problem solving with creativity.
Travel as required.
Delaware ties are a plus, but not required.
This is a full time position. It will pay between $4000 to $5000 monthly, commensurate with the applicant’s experience.
