JOB DESCRIPTION

Debbie Mucarsel-Powell’s campaign for U.S. Senate is seeking a ** Finance Events Manager** to join a growing finance team. The Finance Events Manager will work with the National Finance Director to oversee the campaign’s fundraising events and develop the campaign’s in-state and national presence.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Execute fundraising events in state from start to finish, including event host recruitment, building attendee target lists, providing principal and staff call time lists, and guiding hosts

  • Communicate with event host committees and event attendees before and after the event

  • Work with National Finance Director in developing and executing finance event projections

  • Coordinate with in-state finance assistants on event building, logistics and briefings, and staffing

  • Develop an in-state grassroots and house party events program around existing in-state travel

  • Staff events and candidate as needed (some national travel may be required)

  • Other responsibilities as required

 

Qualifications: 

  • 1-2 cycles of campaign fundraising experience

  • Prior event planning, donor maintenance, and principal management/staffing experience

  • Prior working experience with NGP 8, ActBlue, Word, and Google Sheets/ Excel

  • Strong writing, organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, responsiveness, and passion for the work

  • Flexible and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

  • Access to cell phone, laptop, a valid driver’s license, and reliable transportation

  • A strong commitment to diversity, inclusion, equity and anti-racism

 

Valued Non-essential Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

  • Florida ties

  • Spanish fluency

  • Prior staff management experience

  • Experience managing call time for a principal 

 

 

 

Location:

This position is based in Miami, FL and will involve some travel around Florida and nationally.

 

Salary:

The salary for this position starts at $5,500 per month with the exact salary depending on experience.
