As an Emmy Award–winning broadcast journalist, Janelle Stelson has spent her life listening and talking

directly to the people of Central Pennsylvania and is running to take on Scott Perry. Perry was involved in

January 6th, he’s the former Chair of the Freedom Caucus and is way too extreme for PA-10. Janelle lost

in 2024 by just over 1 point. This district went for Democratic Governor Josh Shapiro by 12 points in

2022 and Janelle’s high name ID and favorable ratings national democrats believe we can flip this seat.

RESPONSIBILITIES Janelle Stelson for Congress is looking for a full-time Fundraising Events

Manager to join our finance team.

 

The Fundraising Events Manager duties will include but are not

limited to:

● Manage and organize fundraising events both in Pennsylvania and nationally

● Work with the Call Time Manager to ensure goals are met by assisting with brainstorming new

donor prospects, and staffing call time

● Create fundraising messaging including scripts, emails and texts for events, call time and other

fundraising projects

● Brainstorm and organize new opportunities for fundraising by working closely with partner

organizations and donors

● Work closely with the Finance Director on ensuring all fundraising goals are met on the finance

plan

● Manage donor relationships including scheduling meetings for the candidate with big donors

QUALIFICATIONS

● At least 1 full cycle of campaign finance experience or 2 years of other development work

● Ability to work independently, with minimal direction and able to exercise professional judgment

● Experience effectively communicating and working with outside stakeholders, donors or partners

● Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail

● Effective time management skills, including prioritizing and managing multiple tasks, and

demonstrated experience in developing campaign and personal work plans and goals

● Strong project management and organizational skills with an ability to plan ahead and pivot

creatively when something doesn’t work or when unexpected opportunities arise

● Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines

● Experience working in fast-paced and demanding jobs

● Flexibility to work evening and weekend hours

● Experience with spreadsheets, NGP, Numero or other fundraising platforms

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who doesn’t necessarily have all the answers but is hungry to work in

politics and is ready to learn. The perfect candidate will be someone who loves teamwork and is

passionate about electing Democratic women to Congress.

This is a full-time position, in person job with a salary of $5000 a month and includes health insurance

coverage. We offer flexible paid time off opportunities and remote days.

in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
