Description
The Maricopa County Democratic Party (MCDP) is looking for a finance intern for the remainder of the 2024 cycle. Interns will be trained by MCDP staff in regards to call time fundraising, graphic design, and organizing events. Interns will primarily work with candidates to fundraise through call time. Interns will be contracted through November 6th, 2024. MCDP has a responsibility to elect Democrats to county level offices in Maricopa County. Maricopa County comprises nearly 65% of the registered voters in the state of Arizona and is the second largest voting jurisdiction in the country. Maricopa County has been deemed one of the biggest battleground counties throughout the country. Winning Maricopa County is crucial to winning the state of Arizona.
Responsibilities
Assist the Development Director with call time fundraising for select Democratic Maricopa County candidates.
Manage call time fundraising for select Democratic Maricopa County candidates.
Assist the Development Director in day-to-day fundraising operations for the Maricopa County Democratic Party.
Create graphics for select Democratic nominees in Maricopa County.
Assist with drafting fundraising emails for the Maricopa County Democratic Party and select Democratic Maricopa County candidates.
Reports to the Development Director.
Help organize events for the Maricopa County Democratic party and select Democratic Maricopa County candidates.
Perform other duties assigned by other MCDP staff members
Perform political donor research and political donor prospecting
Commitments and availability
20 hours a week
Available from 12pm - 4pm during the weekdays
Available from 12pm - 4pm as needed on weekends for events and call time fundraising
Required experience
Volunteered for or worked on a political campaign
