Campaign Job Posting: Finance Intern
The Angus for Governor campaign is looking to hire part-time or full-time Finance Interns for the fall semester. The campaign is seeking hard-working, self-motivated individuals to join its Portland-based team in a remote or in-person capacity. Interns will be able to obtain practical political experience with the Angus for Governor campaign including, donor research, fundraising/event management, and administrative support to the campaign team.
Angus King III is a builder and an innovator who brings people together to get things done. He’s spent his career building affordable housing that is actually affordable, solar and wind projects that are powering thousands of homes and businesses, and he even built a renewable energy company in the heart of a gas utility – without increasing costs. Now he’s running for governor, to build a better Maine so families can afford to live here and our kids can afford to stay.
Qualifications:
Demonstrated interest in politics and Democratic campaigns
Strong organizational skills
Attention to detail
Self-motivated team player
Excellent punctuality and attendance
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Docs
Responsibilities:
Work with the Finance team to complete projects to support the campaign’s fundraising capacities
Assist in the research of current and prospective donors
Support the management and organization of campaign databases
Assist in the drafting of memos and meeting materials for the candidate
Provide support at various campaign events, including fundraising events, meet and greets, and community events
Help with other special projects and tasks as assigned by campaign staff
