Susan Wild for Congress is seeking a remote, part-time Finance Intern. The ideal candidate will be available to work 10 hours/week for a pay of $15/hour. We are accepting applications on a rolling basis.
About Susan Wild: Susan is running to secure her fourth term in Congress in PA-07. She has a history of fighting for health care affordability and accessibility. After signing onto the ACA, she then advocated to expand that effort, introducing an amendment titled Protecting Americans with Pre-Existing Conditions Act, which was designed to cap health care premiums. Rep. Wild is also an advocate for reproductive rights. She stands by a person’s right to choose and helped to introduce the Access to Family Building Act, which would codify an individual’s right to assisted reproductive technologies, including IVF. About PA-07: You will be working on one of the most competitive House races in the country! Rep. Wild is a DCCC Frontline candidate and PA-07 has been ranked as a toss-up by the Cook-Report and Sabato’s Crystal Ball. PA-07 is in Eastern Pennsylvania, and includes Lehigh, Carbon and Northampton Counties.
Position Overview: The Finance Intern will support the Associate Finance Director in building out and maintaining a successful fundraising program. You will help us to reach fundraising goals.
Responsibilities/Duties:
• Help the finance team to identify new supporters and find accurate contact information for these individuals.
• Assist the finance team in maintaining an accurate database on NGP and CTAI. Help to remove inaccurate details and replace them with up-to-date information.
• Call, text and email past donors to ask if they would be willing to support the campaign again. Communicate clearly why their help is so important.
• Assist the Associate Finance Director with various projects.
Qualifications
All qualifications are preferred, not required. This job can be easily learned through training.
• Passionate about helping to get Democrats elected
• Experience with: NGP, CTAI, ActBlue, Excel and/or Google Sheets
• At least one cycle of prior campaign fundraising experience
• Strong communication skills & a high level of comfort in communicating with donors
Employment Type: Part Time - 10 hours/week
Compensation: $15/hour
