JOB DESCRIPTION

A competitive frontline congressional campaign is seeking a Finance Director to lead a robust finance operation. The Finance Director will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the finance department. This senior position will work closely with the candidate, senior team, and consultants to execute the finance plan. The Finance Director will develop and execute event and call time programs and oversee staff and consultants. The ideal candidate will possess strong initiative, attention to detail, organizational skills, and have at least 1-2 cycles of campaign finance experience. 

 

Duties:

  • Execute and grow a strong finance plan for the 2026 election cycle

  • Manage the finance team, including campaign staff and consultants 

  • Oversee all in-state and national fundraising events and trips, including recruiting and working with host committees, maximizing raise, handling event/travel logistics, and staffing. Some travel may be required.

  • Oversee candidate and staff call time programs, including scheduling and staffing call time, prep, follow-up with pledges

  • Build on existing donor universe by researching and recruiting new donors as well as maintaining an accurate and up-to-date donor database 

  • Regularly manage the in-district PO box and depositing of checks

  • Other duties as assigned, based on the needs of the campaign

 

Qualifications:

  • At least 1-2 cycles of campaign finance experience, with strong knowledge of candidate call time and planning high-dollar event 

  • Proficiency in NGP, ActBlue, Microsoft Office Suite, and Google Suite (other call time software a plus)

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Highly organized, motivated, and extremely detail-oriented

  • Professional demeanor, team player, and willingness to adapt to a changing environment

  • Willing to work irregular hours, including some evenings and weekends as needed

  • A valid driver’s license and vehicle

  • Must relocate to the district
