JOB DESCRIPTION

Keisha Lance Bottoms for Governor is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Georgia Events Manager.

 

Keisha Lance Bottoms was the 60th Mayor of Atlanta, and now a candidate for Governor in Georgia. Keisha is a fifth generation Georgian who has served as a judge, city councilwoman, and mayor. She was called to public service to build opportunities for working families like the one she grew up in. Keisha and her husband, Derek, are parents to four children in Atlanta.

 

In a critically important midterm election year, all eyes will be on Georgia’s competitive, open-seat Governor’s race. The 2026 Georgia gubernatorial race is expected to have significant resources and attention from across the country, and is already being reported as a Tossup by Cook Political Report.

 

The Georgia Events Manager is an important member of the campaign’s finance team, and is tasked with building events from start to finish independently, meeting aggressive event goals, and working to identify strong host prospects. Please see more on the roles and responsibilities below.

 

Roles and Responsibilities

 

  • Build campaign fundraising events from start to finish 

  • Meet aggressive fundraising event goals

  • Identify strong host prospects

  • Manage host relationships and outstanding host offers

  • Staff and advance campaign fundraising events 

  • Think strategically about optimizing in state events program

  • Prepare event briefing materials

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least one cycle of campaign fundraising experience is required

  • Prior experience building campaign fundraising events is preferred

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Strong people skills

  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Ability to work nights and weekends as needed

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment

  • Experience with NGP and G-Suite Applications

 

This full-time Georgia Events Manager will report to the Finance Director. This position will be based in Atlanta, Georgia. A reliable form of transportation is required, and travel will be required in this position.

 

This position is salaried at $5,500 monthly.
