Position Summary:
This is a full-time, remote position reporting to the Head of Growth Operations. This position will also collaborate closely with Change Research Analysts, Product Manager, and CEO, in support of Change Research and its non-partisan business unit, Embold Research.
Business development: Approximately 70% of the role in 2024
Identify and reach out to past and prospective clients with thoughtful, personalized, politically astute communications
Build and maintain relationships with campaign managers, political directors, and others seeking to improve the way they communicate with their constituents in support of reaching sales targets
Research local, statewide, and national issues to inform client meetings, proposals, and sales strategy
Understand company offerings and translate that knowledge into compelling sales pitches that solve client problems and win business
Participate in and lead client calls and meetings
Write detailed proposals for survey research; collaborate with senior staff, including experienced pollsters and data scientists, to develop and suggest the optimal survey design to meet each client prospect’s needs
Carefully record, organize, analyze and track client goals, needs, and next steps
Collaborate with pollsters to manage accounts and see clients through to project conclusions, especially with an eye towards creating future opportunities
Communications: Approximately 30% of the role in 2024
Lead the company’s Communications working group and work closely with CEO, VP of Growth, and other colleagues to hone the company’s communications strategy.
Play a key role in positioning Change Research as a forward-thinking, innovative company with expertise on relevant issues and voters.
Write marketing content, including newsletters, social media posts, webinars, and data memos.
Pitch media and handle media inquiries; develop relationships with target reporters.
Support the Growth team in disseminating fresh insights to third-party partners and client prospects.
Own the implementation of newsletter, blog, social media, and webinar content strategies
Together with colleagues, develop presentations, collateral, and other materials
Develop and maintain a library of brand assets; ensure visual and verbal brand consistency across channels
About you:
This is an ideal position for someone with strong writing skills, who enjoys interacting with clients and political practitioners. You are comfortable with software, have a keen interest in politics, and want to work hard in pursuit of a good cause.
3-6 years professional experience in some combination of political campaigns, public affairs, marketing, strategic communications, account management

You might have:
Experience in a fast-paced environment and with juggling multiple projects
At least one electoral cycle or year of experience in politics and/or be well versed in the language of data and campaign communications
Interest in new media and social media trends, graphic design, or other specialties related to communications
Compensation and work environment:
This is a full-time remote position with an annual salary range of $68,000 to $85,000, commensurate with experience and with the upper end of the salary range reserved for the candidates who demonstrate exceptional skills, experience, and alignment with the role.
