JOB DESCRIPTION

Overview

Nina Schwalbe, Democrat for Congress NY-12 is seeking a highly organized and motivated** Call Time Manager** to support the campaign’s fundraising program. The Call Time Manager will oversee the candidate’s call time operations, manage donor follow-up, maintain fundraising data, and help run a grassroots texting program. This role is critical to ensuring the candidate maximizes fundraising opportunities while maintaining strong relationships with supporters.

Responsibilities

Call Time & Fundraising Operations (≈80%)

  • Prepare daily ** call time lists** for the candidate, including donor research, call notes, and giving history.

  • Staff the candidate during call time sessions and track outcomes of each call.

  • Enter and maintain accurate records in the campaign’s ** CRM/database** (NGP VAN).

  • Draft call scripts, briefing materials, and follow-up emails for donors.

  • Coordinate with the Campaign Manager and Treasurer on donor targeting and fundraising strategy.

  • Track pledges and follow up with donors to ensure contributions are completed.

  • Manage call time scheduling and ensure the candidate stays on track with fundraising goals.

  • Generate reports on call outcomes and fundraising progress.

Texting Program Management (≈20%)

  • Manage the campaign’s peer-to-peer texting program (e.g. Scale to Win, Grassroots Analytics) to support fundraising, volunteer recruitment, and voter outreach.

  • Write and test texting scripts and messaging.

  • Train and manage volunteers participating in texting shifts.

  • Coordinate texting lists and targeting with the campaign’s data or organizing team.

  • Track performance metrics and adjust strategy to improve engagement.

Qualifications

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced campaign environment.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Comfort working with databases and spreadsheets (experience with ** NGP VAN**,** ActBlue**, or similar tools preferred).

  • Experience with peer-to-peer texting platforms (e.g., ** Scale to Win, Grassroots Analytics**) preferred.

  • Prior campaign, nonprofit, or political fundraising experience is a plus but not required.

  • Commitment to Democratic values and the mission of the campaign.

Schedule

  • Flexible schedule with occasional evenings and weekends, especially during fundraising call time and texting shifts.
