JOB DESCRIPTION

Are you passionate about LGBTQ+ advocacy and looking to gain valuable experience this fall? Then look no further than SAVE!

 

We're excited to announce a paid internship opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join our dynamic team. At SAVE, we work tirelessly to maximize voter outreach and education efforts. Must be based in Broward or Miami-Dade counties.

 

There are two application deadlines: August 12 (early) and September 2 (regular).

  • The internship period for the early applicants is from September 2nd to November 8, 2024 (10 weeks).

  • The internship period for the regular applicants is from September 16 to November 8, 2024 (8 weeks)

 

As an intern, you'll play a vital role in supporting our mission by:

 

  • Conduct phone banking and canvassing to connect with voters on key issues.

  • Provide accurate and informative responses to voter questions about SAVE's mission and candidates we support.

  • Maintain accurate records of voter outreach activities and volunteer engagement.

  • Work collaboratively with other organizers, campaign staff, and volunteers to achieve shared goals.

  • Maintain a positive and professional attitude in a fast-paced environment.

  • Gaining firsthand experience in the non-profit advocacy world

  • Working alongside passionate and dedicated professionals

  • Making a real difference in the lives of LGBTQ+ individuals and communities

 

Compensation: $20 per hour for a 20-hour weekly commitment.

 

Who We're Looking For:

 

  • A highly motivated and organized individual with a strong interest in LGBTQ+ issues

  • Excellent communication, research, and writing skills

  • A team player with a positive and proactive attitude

  • Proficiency in Google Suite

  • Reliable transportation and the ability to travel independently to event sites.
