Position Summary: The Fundraising Intern reports to the Campaign Manager and is responsible for working directly with low-dollar donors to assist with fundraising efforts. Fundraising Interns will be invited to transition to paid-canvassing positions in June, if desired.
Responsibilities Include:
Facilitate day-to-day communication with small-dollar donors to bring campaign contributions in, in real time
Work directly with Campaign Manager to develop messaging and scheduling for optimal contribution collection
Manages relationships with donors and escalates conversations to Campaign Manager for larger contributions as necessary
Collaborates with fellow Fundraising Interns to strategize and maximize call time efforts
Helps develop call time resources for Congressional candidate
Facilitates weekly fundraising reports
Other duties as needed
Requirements
Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects at once
Desire to work in a fast-paced environment
Must be able to work in-office with reliable transportation and cellular phone
Personal and professional commitment to promoting and investing in Democratic candidates
Ability to work with leaders, staff, and members at all levels of organizations
Commitment to the election of Democrats to the U.S. House of Representatives
Proven interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills with the ability to build relationships with staff at all levels
