JOB DESCRIPTION

Vichal Kumar is running for Congress in New York’s 7th District to fight for working families, immigrant communities, and small businesses across Brooklyn and Queens. With over 20 years of community advocacy experience, Vichal’s campaign is focused on affordability, public safety, strong public schools, and building a government that actually delivers for everyday people. The Campaign is seeking motivated, passionate interns to join our team. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain real experience on a competitive, community-driven campaign and play a meaningful role in helping us win. The position is to start ASAP and run through at least the primary in late June, 2026 with the potential for continuation through the general election in November, 2026.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Support field organizing efforts, including canvassing, phone banking, & voter outreach

  • Assist with event planning and community engagement activities

  • Conduct research on local organizations, stakeholders, and issues

  • Help with campaign operations, including data entry and volunteer coordination

  • Work closely with campaign staff on day-to-day priorities

  • Location: Hybrid (Brooklyn & Queens-based with some remote work)
