Position Summary:
The Manager, Campaign Social Media & Ad Operations (Temporary) reports to the Senior Director, Campaign Supports and Resources. This role is responsible for building and maintaining the foundation of social media support for LEE candidates, empowering them to run professional, successful social media platforms.
The Manager’s time will be spent as a strategic partner, helping candidates set up essential tools like backward-planned content calendars, customizable Canva templates, and "how-to" guides for organic growth. Also, this role will focus on high-stakes technical operations which includes navigating the end-to-end Meta and Google political ad verification processes and analyzing ad performance to optimize their spend.
The ideal candidate for this role thrives in a high-touch, service-oriented position that requires meticulous attention to detail and a proactive approach to troubleshooting technical roadblocks. The Manager will use their expertise to improve departmental processes, ensuring that all candidates, including those in small, lower-budget races, have the strategic and technical support needed to win.
The Manager, Campaign Social Media & Ad Operations (Temporary) is a full-time, temporary position for up to 40 hours per week through November 20th 2026.

Responsibilities:
Candidate Social Media Support (50%)
**Content Calendars: **Collaborate with candidates to set up posting schedules and calendars that plan backward from Election Day
**System Optimization & Template Management: **Manage the library of Canva templates, ensuring the library evolves to meet candidate needs with minimal manual intervention
**Best Practice Guides: **Create and update how-to one-pagers and guides that results in increased followers and online engagement
**Onboarding Sprints: **Lead candidates through a standardized onboarding sprint to set up social media accounts and website integrations, moving them quickly toward technical self-sufficiency
**AI-Enabled Content Strategy: **Develop and maintain a prompt library for candidates to assist in high-volume organic content creation
Compliance, Verification, & Ad Operations (30%)
**Verification Oversight & Troubleshooting: **Manage the end-to-end identity confirmation and "Paid for by" disclaimer process for Meta and Google; exercise judgment to identify technical roadblocks and create self-service troubleshooting tools that improve candidate outcomes
**Ad Launch Support: **Help candidates set up their first social media ads, providing hands-on support for technical settings like targeting, budgeting, and scheduling
**Ad Strategy & Advice: **Provide a digital program ad plan along with best practices on ad spend per week to maximize impact
Campaign Optimization and Support (10%)
**Performance Analysis: **Analyze ad performance and candidate template usage to proactively refine assets to provide actionable, strategic recommendations for budget optimization
**Process Improvement: **Identify opportunities for process improvements, identifying technical roadblocks and creating simple troubleshooting tools
Support team campaign specialists during times of increased candidate load
Special Projects (10%)
Engage in team-level, org-wide, or cross-team special projects as assigned by manager or designee
Provide short-term coverage of other Manager-level duties during a leave, vacancy, or PTO
Minimum Qualifications:
**Education: **Bachelor’s degree or commensurate years of work experience (If you do not hold a Bachelor’s degree an additional 4 years of relevant experience is required. If you hold an Associate’s degree an additional 2 years of relevant experience is required.)
Professional Experience: 3+ years of total professional experience, with at least 2+ years of relevant experience in social media campaign management or digital ad placement
**Technical Compliance: **Experience navigating the identity verification and authorization process for running political ads on Meta and Google
**Social Media Tools: **Demonstrated proficiency in Canva for creating brand-aligned social media assets and templates
**Meticulous Attention to Detail: **A proven track record of handling complex, high-stakes paperwork and technical requirements with accuracy
**Customer Service Mindset: **Experience in a high-touch support role, with the ability to communicate with non-technical users
**Organization & Execution: **Ability to backwards plan across multiple candidate timelines, ensuring content calendars and ad launches stay on track
**Ad Analysis: **Experience analyzing social media ad performance and providing clear, actionable recommendations to improve results
**Remote Teamwork: **Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate within a geographically dispersed team
**Mission Alignment: **Strong, demonstrated commitment to LEE’s mission, core values, and theory of change
Preferred Qualifications:
**Video Content: **Basic experience editing or creating short-form video content for social media platforms
**Platform Setup: **Familiarity with the technical backend of campaign social media pages, including website integration and SEO basics
**AI Ready: **Familiarity with AI content generation tools
Physical Requirements & Work Demands:
This position is primarily a sedentary role working with colleagues based around the country using remote technologies.
The person in this position may need to occasionally move about inside the office to liaise with staff or access office equipment.

Pay and Benefits
The position level for this role is Manager 1 and the corresponding hourly pay range for this position is $31.49-$46.96. Pay is competitive and based upon relevant experience and cost of labor for your location.
