About the Position: The Maryland Democratic Party is seeking a Coordinated Campaign Director to develop and manage the 2026 statewide program that will keep Maryland blue. We are looking for a highly motivated, self-starter to manage coordination between various campaigns and stakeholders in addition to designing and implementing the direct voter contact program. The ideal candidate will be assertive and able to work quickly in rapidly changing environments. Candidates should be comfortable dealing with sensitive information and maintain constant confidentiality.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Design and direct overall coordinated program, in consultation with stakeholders, to meet electoral goals.
Oversee organizing, voter protection, operations, data and paid programming to ensure strategic imperatives are met.
Regularly convene the members of the coordinated campaign table to work towards shared priorities.
Ensure accountability of staff, programs, and activities by developing, setting, and implementing performance milestones, and ensuring these milestones are met and progress is continually demonstrated toward their fulfillment.
Build and set organizational standards for a culture of excellence.
Prepare reports, documentation, and internal resources as needed
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum of at least two (2) cycles of senior level experience in federal, statewide, or advocacy campaigns is required, preference will be given to candidates with a field or organizing background.
Experience managing multi-level staffing structures
Ability to hire and manage diverse staff
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with staff, elected officials and external stakeholders
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
Ability to work long, irregular hours, and maintain a positive attitude
General understanding of campaign finance laws and other applicable federal and state regulations governing coordinated campaigns
