Multimedia Graphic Designer 

 

Start Date: Immediately 

Employment Type: Full time

Location: Dallas, Tx

Wages: $65,000.00/yr 

Hybrid role- requiring 3 days a week in the office.

The Texas Democratic Party (TDP) is seeking a Multimedia Graphic Designer that will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and producing various multimedia projects that effectively communicate the TDP brand message and engage TDP target audience. This position requires a passion for blending design and web front-end development to craft exceptional websites and social media collateral. This role calls for a creative technophile with an impeccable sense of design, usability, and an unwavering attention to detail that thrives in a fast-paced environment, excels at multitasking, and embraces collaboration.

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the communications team to develop multimedia content, including

videos, animations, graphics, and interactive presentations.

  • Conceptualize and storyboard ideas for multimedia projects, ensuring alignment with

brand guidelines and party objectives.

  • Design and create compelling visual assets, such as graphics, illustrations, and

animations, using industry-standard software and tools.

  •  Edit and enhance audio and video content to produce high-quality multimedia

deliverables.

  • Optimize multimedia content for various platforms and devices, ensuring compatibility

and optimal user experience.

  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in multimedia design and technology,

as well as the ability to incorporate innovative ideas into projects.

  • Conduct A/B testing and utilize analytics tools to optimize campaign performance.

  •  Monitor social media and news outlets for real-time messaging opportunities and rapid

response.

  •  Facilitate social media content and other multimedia platforms.

  • On a weekly basis, confer with the Call Time Manager to coordinate messaging.

  • On an as-needed basis, liaise or collaborate with the relevant SDEC committee.

  • Proven experience as a Multimedia Designer or similar role, with a strong portfolio

showcasing your creative work.

  • Serve as on-camera talent when appropriate

  • Shoot, edit, and publish short-form video for all platforms

  • When needed capture content at events and press actions

 

Requirements:

  •  Proficiency in multimedia design software, such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop,

Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects), and other relevant tools.

  •  Solid understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and visual

storytelling.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a

team environment.

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Knowledge of web design principles and experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is

a plus.

 

  • Experience shooting video, including basic lighting, audio capture, and camera operation for interviews, events, and digital content.

  • Strong video editing skills, with the ability to produce short- and long-form video optimized for digital and social platforms.
