The Janet Mills for Senate campaign is seeking an experienced Multimedia Producer for one of the most high-profile races in the nation in 2026. The Multimedia Producer will focus on concepting, shooting, and editing digital and social media content, serving as the lead on all photo and video content within the broader content program, from capturing content through production to final product.
The Multimedia Producer will work with the broader digital team to push the candidate’s messaging using visual content, connecting with voters directly on the issues that are most important to them.
This position will report to the Deputy Digital Director for Content. This is a full-time position based in Portland, Maine, but will be expected to be on the road regularly.
Job Responsibilities
Conceive and execute video/digital material on behalf of the campaign
Serve as primary traveling photographer/videographer, handling all aspects of production; be a visual storyteller and a creative thinker
Draft DTC scripts for social media, and conceive and execute video/digital material at events
Manage, operate, and understand camera and audio gear (formats/frame rates); responsible for gear, studio, and production maintenance
Oversee video production for external events and partners
Organize media assets for use by the campaign across social media
Manage campaign Flickr account and YouTube channel
Adhere to and meet deadlines
May travel, work weekends or evenings as projects required; adhere to on-call schedule
All other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
At least two (2) years of experience with cameras and audio work
Fluid editing skills in Premiere; strong knowledge of Adobe Suite or similar editing programs
Ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines
Must be a team player with a strong work ethic
Access to a car and experience working events and traveling for work
A desire to work long campaign hours, including evenings and weekends in 2026
