Description:
State Representative Janelle Bynum is the Democratic Nominee running to represent Oregon’s 5th Congressional District. Oregon’s 5th congressional district is a Toss-Up district and top targeted pick-up opportunity for the Democrats in 2024. Janelle is a DCCC Red to Blue and EMILY’s List endorsed candidate.
Overview:
The Janelle Bynum for Congress campaign is currently hiring for multiple positions in the finance department. This is a full-time in person position based in Clackamas, OR. Members of the finance team will work in close coordination with and report directly to the Finance Director.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the Call Time program by preparing call sheets, prospecting new donors, and conducting pledge follow-up.
Support the finance team with virtual and in-person fundraising event planning, building, and staffing.
Assist in the tracking and sourcing of all contributions.
Manage the campaign’s thank you note program.
Assist finance and campaign staff with additional duties as needed.
Additional responsibilities commensurate with experience.
Requirements
It is preferred that candidates interested in a position on the finance team have some campaign experience, either paid or volunteer.
Great attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple projects at once.
Interest in learning about campaign fundraising and willingness to work extended hours, including nights and weekends, as needed.
Access to a cell phone, laptop, a valid driver’s license, and reliable transportation.
Salary for this position is in the range of $4,000-$5,500 a month plus benefits, commensurate with experience.
