JOB DESCRIPTION

The Ford for Governor campaign is seeking a full-time National Finance Director to join our senior leadership team. This individual will lead the national fundraising strategy & execution for one of the most competitive and consequential races of 2026. The role is based in Las Vegas, with significant travel expected across the country.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

● Develop and execute a comprehensive national finance plan in collaboration with the Nevada Finance Director, Senior Advisor, and Campaign Manager.

● Manage the national fundraising component of an eight-figure budget, ensuring progress to goals and seamless coordination across entities, including:

○ Overseeing a team of national fundraising consultants and campaign staff, including execution of out-of-state events, donor meetings, and call time.

○ Planning and managing high-impact fundraising events in major markets including CA, NY, DC, IL, TX, and identifying new growth opportunities nationwide.

○ Serving as the liaison between the Finance Committee, senior staff, and the principal.

○ Cultivating support from PACs, national labor unions, and allied organizations.

● Manage and mentor the Deputy Finance Director, future Call Time Manager, and additional finance staff hires.

● Track and report on national fundraising projections, donor pipelines, and allocations across campaign, PAC, and other vehicles.

● Partner with firms handling digital and direct mail fundraising.

● Support all efforts to ensure the campaign’s finance operation meets or exceeds cycle goals.

 

 

Qualifications:

● Minimum of two cycles of political fundraising experience, including at least one as a Finance Director with proven success managing a multi-million dollar finance plan.

● Deep familiarity with NGP, ActBlue, Numero, and advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills.

● Ability to analyze data to drive fundraising strategy and decision-making.

● Highly organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple work streams under pressure.

● Preferred but not required: Experience managing staff or consultants; building national fundraising trips and events.
