Job Description: National Organizing Director, FutureVoice

Position Title: National Organizing Director

Location: Remote (coworking office space available in San Francisco, CA)

 

About FutureVoice:

FutureVoice is a national, 501(c)(3) public awareness campaign aimed at galvanizing young people around the issues that matter most to children, families, and the future of our democracy. Developed in partnership with experienced social change leaders and informed by comprehensive research on Gen Z and young Millennials, the campaign will reach young Americans through original messaging, digital outreach, and grassroots events.

 

Our theory of action for this effort encompasses the following:

 

  1. ** Listen** deeply to young people ages 18-29 to understand the key issues, messages, and values that are most important to them across geographic and demographic factors.

  2. ** Develop** original, data-driven creative content and uplift organic content that our research shows will resonate with young people and activate their sense of civic empowerment.

  3. ** Disseminate** digital content and values-based messages to engage young people on key issues facing our democracy and our country.

  4. ** Mobilize** young people in support of issues important to them by providing them with the tools, strategies, and support they need to organize and engage their peers.

 

Role Summary:

FutureVoice is seeking a seasoned National Organizing Director to lead our cutting-edge digital organizing program. Reporting directly to the Campaign Manager, this is a unique opportunity to drive a movement to educate and empower young people on issues impacting children, families, and America's future.

 

Responsibilities:

- Design and implement a state of the art digital organizing program inspired by recent successful campaigns

- Recruit, train and manage a team of State Organizing Directors across key target areas

- Lead dynamic digital organizing operation using platforms like TikTok, Snapchat, Instagram, etc.

- Establish clear goals and metrics to gauge success across digital organizing channels

- Collaborate closely with creative teams to amplify campaign content through organic digital channels

- Identify and empower volunteers and grassroots groups to be leaders in their communities 

- Provide strategic guidance to State Organizing Directors on effective field tactics in their region

- Ensure seamless coordination between national and state digital organizing efforts

- Deliver regular updates and strategic input to the Campaign Manager on overall campaign strategy

 

Requirements:

- 5+ years experience in digital organizing, field organizing or community organizing roles, preferably on regional or national campaigns

- Proven expertise in utilizing digital organizing tools like relational databases, peer-to-peer texting, etc.

- Strong track record in managing and developing organizing staff across distributed teams

- Exceptional project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities 

- Familiarity with online platforms and digital channels popular with Gen Z and Millennials

- Detail-oriented mindset with a data-driven approach to tracking metrics and optimizing strategies

- Passion for amplifying  youth voices and fostering civic engagement among young people

- Outstanding leadership, problem-solving and strategic thinking abilities

- Willingness to travel as required

Salary & Benefits:

- Semi-monthly salary equivalent to $130-150k annually, commensurate with experience
