The Democratic National Convention Committee (DNCC) is assembling a diverse team with skills in community engagement, event logistics, finance, operations, IT, and more. The DNCC team will oversee and deliver on all aspects of the planning and execution of this Convention, from housing the delegates to convening Platform Committee meetings to producing the Convention’s live programming, which will be seen by hundreds of millions of people around the world.

**SUMMARY **
As the Network Architect you will lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of a robust and high-capacity wired and wireless network infrastructure to accommodate tens of thousands of users. Collaborating closely with vendors, you will ensure the successful deployment of technologies to provide seamless connectivity and enhance the overall experience of convention attendees.

Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to install access points, antennas, and other necessary hardware to achieve optimal coverage and performance.
- Security Implementation: Implement robust security measures, including encryption protocols, authentication mechanisms, and intrusion detection/prevention systems, to protect the wireless network from cyber threats and unauthorized access during the convention.
- Performance Optimization: Monitor network performance metrics in real-time during the convention, identify areas of congestion or degradation, and implement optimizations to ensure optimal performance and user experience for attendees.
- Capacity Planning: Forecast network capacity requirements based on expected attendance and usage patterns, and develop strategies for scaling the network infrastructure to accommodate fluctuations in demand throughout the duration of the convention.
- Documentation and Training: Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, topology diagrams, and troubleshooting procedures. Provide training and support to internal staff and vendors involved in network operations and maintenance.
- Compliance and Standards: Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to network security, data privacy, and wireless communications, maintaining a secure and reliable network environment for convention attendees.
