JOB DESCRIPTION

The NewDem Action Fund is the political arm of the New Democrat Coalition, and is committed to electing pragmatic, “Majority Maker” Democrats to retake the House Majority. 

 

Position Summary: The NewDem Action Fund’s National Finance Director will manage and execute all aspects of the national fundraising operation, with a focus on managing national donor relationships, identifying and prospecting new national donors, and growing the overall fundraising program. The NewDem Action Fund National Finance Director will be responsible for executing the national travel program, planning fundraising events, overseeing the grassroots digital program, managing New Dem Members’ call time and engagement with New Dem national fundraising, managing fundraising consultants and donor engagement, and working closely with senior staff to accomplish goals and objectives. The National Finance Director will manage the Program Manager, who assists with fundraising activities, and will oversee administrative operations for the PAC. 

This position often requires irregular working hours, including nights and weekends, and requires some travel. This is a full-time, exempt position based in Washington D.C. The annual salary range for this position is $100,000 - $115,00, commensurate with experience, and comes with a comprehensive benefits package including paid time off, holidays, and health insurance. 

 

Qualified applicants will have: 

- At least two full cycles of fundraising experience, with at least one cycle as a Finance Director for a campaign or organization 

- A proven track record developing donor management and fundraising tracking systems, experience with national fundraising, and extensive knowledge of NGP and ActBlue 

- Excellent writing skills, particularly under tight deadlines with a close attention to detail 

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally Members, senior congressional staff, and with stakeholders 

- The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks accordingly, 

- Integrity, compassion, sound judgment, and a commitment to Democratic values
