Job Description

North Carolina is home to over 560,000 college students across over 100 college campuses, including 10 HBCUs. Young voters have the numbers and the power to shape the future of our state through leadership in the electoral process. And in a state like North Carolina, even a small increase in student voter turnout could shape our state for years to come.

That’s why we’re building **Rally NC** - an entrepreneurial and innovative operation to protect and expand democracy by elevating youth leadership across the state in order to empower thousands of college students to take control of their futures, get organized, and vote in the 2024 elections. We're done waiting for change. We're ready to make it happen.

Rally NC is part of a collection of state-based organizations working to mobilize student voters through creative, student-driven tactics. The North Carolina organization will build on work done by similar teams in Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.

**What Will You Do?**
The Operations Director will be responsible for managing the operations and logistics of
Rally NC’s 2024 campaign. This senior level position will work closely with the State Director to maintain day-to-day logistics, accurately track projected expenses, and manage the campaign budget, including:
- Ensure logistical support for an expansive organizing program, including working with vendors, ordering merchandise and materials, completing regular supply audits, etc.
- Maintaining the campaign finance plan and regularly reconciling all accounts
- Managing payroll processing, employee benefits, and reconciling benefit expenses
- Assisting with record-keeping of revenue and expenses for compliance reporting purposes
- Serve as the Human Resources lead for Rally NC by:
- Facilitating the onboarding and offboarding of all employees
- Creating a structure for incident reporting and maintaining HR records
- Filing and tracking of all annual tax forms
- Secure coordinated campaign offices, negotiate leases, set-up and maintain utilities
- All other duties as assigned

**Who Are You?**
A successful candidate for this role will:
- Have 4+ years of experience in operations for c3/c4 organizations. Experience with campaign operations and campus organizing is a plus.
- Love creating systems, processes, and spreadsheets and have a knack for logistics.
- Demonstrate knowledge of state and national compliance requirements.
- Be scrappy and flexible; able to manage several tasks simultaneously.
- Be a self-starter, exceptionally well-organized, and have strong time management skills.

**Job Details:** The starting compensation for this role is $6,000 per month, commensurate with experience, and includes benefits. This is a full time role with a target start date of early Spring 2024.
