About the Assembly Democratic Campaign Committee:

The Wisconsin Assembly Democratic Campaign Committee (WI ADCC) is the only Democratic organization solely focused on recruiting, training, and electing Democrats to the Wisconsin State Assembly. With new legislative maps, we are fighting for a Democratic Majority in 2024!

 

Position Summary:

The Operations Director will serve as a member of the ADCC Senior Staff. This position develops, supervises, and manages major internal operations and projects of the ADCC, including but not limited to hiring and on-boarding, leadership scheduling and priorities, and day-to-day office operations. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Managing the operations budget process; supporting office investment decision making with the Executive Director; working with finance director to track spending and cash flow; supervising internal decision making;

  • Managing schedules for Assembly Leader and Executive Director;

  • Implementing systems and processes to facilitate intra- and inter-departmental communication;

  • Working with the Executive Director to set department priorities and overseeing programmatic calendar;

  • Overseeing all memos and deliverables originating from the Operations department for internal and external distribution, including the tracking and prioritizing of deadlines for the Executive Director and leadership team;

  • Supervise responsibilities including department and battlefield tracking documents, external memos, invoices & investment support, scheduling, meeting & event support, and more;

  • Collaborate on projects with the Executive Director, Finance, Communications, and Campaigns teams;

  • Work closely with the Executive Director team to ensure Assembly campaign infrastructure is operating effectively;

  • Other duties as needed.

 

Qualifications:

Qualified candidates must be highly organized, able to multitask, prioritize, and manage multiple deadlines, and able to work in a fast-paced environment. An ideal Operations Director candidate will possess:

  • Significant project management experience and/or campaign experience required;

  • Staff management experience preferred; 

  • Commitment to building and managing inclusive and strong team;

  • Strong ability to build and run tight, efficient systems and processes across multiple departments and external partners including assembly campaigns across Wisconsin;

  • Superior time management, planning, organizational and communications skills;

  • Attention to detail and self-motivation required;

  • Desire to work in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude;

  • Experience with Microsoft office, especially Excel, is required, and experience with G suite is strongly preferred; 

  • Proven interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills with the ability to build relationships with staff at all levels; 

  • Prior workflow management experience (preferred);

  • Prior experience with technology and cybersecurity (preferred);

  • A commitment to electing Democrats up and down the ballot.

  • Working from a computer for long periods of time;

  • Flexibility to work extensive hours outside of normal operating hours;

  • Statewide travel, including travel to Assembly districts, will be required.

 

Compensation:

Salary range for this position is $70,000-$80,000 annually depending on qualifications and

experience. All caucus staff are provided with a full health care benefits package, including

vision and dental.
