JOB DESCRIPTION

Trestle is seeking a dedicated and adaptable Operations Support Consultant to join our team 25 hours per month from July through November to facilitate the smooth operation of day-to-day activities as we prepare for the 2024 election.

Services

The Operations Support Consultant will facilitate the smooth operation of specific hiring, contract administration, and documentation activities for Trestle.

 

People operations

Support the Chief of Staff with hiring & freelancer contracting process, which includes:

  • Communicate with candidates for Trestle’s freelancer network via email;

  • Coordinate and schedule interviews with candidates;

  • Handle administrative tasks for new freelacers, such as:

  • Process Master Services Agreements (MSAs) and Scope of Work (SOW) documents, including execution, tracking, and revisions;

  • Update freelancer tax forms.

 

Systems operations

  • Support and optimize systems for tracking contracts, invoices, Google Drive, Bill, Monday.com and other pertinent platforms to ensure seamless operations.

  • Work closely with the Chief of Staff to elevate Trestle's operational efficiency and achieve departmental objectives. This includes updating internal systems with revised documentation for various operational processes such as hiring, tooling, billing, invoicing, sprint planning, time-tracking, and vendor management.

  • Assist the Chief of Staff in establishing and maintaining operational protocols and procedures. This encompasses documentation for audit management, Board meeting planning, and other operational functions.

 

Special projects

  • Assist the Chief of Staff in various ad-hoc projects as required.

 

Competencies

  • Demonstrated experience in operations for multi-entity organizations, preferably within a non-profit or similar environment, is highly valued and considered a significant asset for this role.

  • Proven ability to handle complex administrative tasks and projects, including experience with bringing freelancers onboard and effectively managing documentation.

  • A commitment to addressing the pressing issues of our day, particularly those related to equity, diversity, and inclusion.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage clearly and effectively.

 

Compensation & Timeline

  • Hourly rate of $100 per hour

  • 25 hours a month from July to November, 2024

  • Total available budget: $12,500
