The 2024 Democratic Coordinated Campaign, is seeking passionate Organizers to join our statewide campaign. With important races at all levels, our team will play an integral role in electing Connecticut Democrats this November! Organizers will help implement the program that will make these victories possible. Organizers will report directly to the Regional Organizing Director.
Responsibilities:
Work to elect all Democrats up and down the ballot.
Build local grassroots volunteer teams which will talk to voters about the importance of this election.
Implement grassroots organizing tactics such as high traffic canvassing, canvassing & phone banks.
Work to develop strong relationships with local stakeholders and constituency groups, including county party leaders and members, local grassroots organizations and activists, and partner groups.
Meet or exceed metrics based goals for volunteer recruitment & retention as well as direct voter contact..
Serve as the local representative within the community you are assigned.
Other duties as assigned by the Regional Organizing Director.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous campaign experience as staff or volunteer appreciated but not required.
Desire to fight for Democratic values and candidates.
Able to build authentic relationships across lines of difference, such as race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, class, ability, gender identity, citizenship status, or other identities. Understands how to take an inclusive lens into all aspects of work.
Flexible, adaptable and solutions-oriented.
Ability to work long days with irregular hours. You have the capacity and willingness to work long hours during peak season, rolling up your sleeves and getting the work done.
Reliable transportation is required
