JOB DESCRIPTION

Seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Organizer. The role will be responsible for building our connections across the City, attending Civic Joy Fund-sponsored events, and recruiting volunteers.

 

In a given week we could have multiple events across the City that require someone from Civic Joy Fund to attend or run. This role is expected to have flexible hours, allowing them to provide in-person support as needed.

 

We’re looking for someone excited about San Francisco, who enjoys talking to people, has an understanding of the different communities across the City, and cares about its recovery and sustainability. Someone who is also connected to the art world (painters, musicians, etc) or the political world is a bonus.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Organizer position will be responsible for the following:

  • Uploading event attendees weekly to Mailchimp

  • Updating internal Airtable contact list weekly

  • Tabeling at any Civic Joy Fund-sponsored events or partnering with different city events to have a table

  • Researching different community groups across San Francisco and building relationships with them.

  • Assisting is bringing communities into the projects within their neighborhoods.

COMPENSATION + BENEFITS

This role will be hourly with a rate of $30/hr at 20 hours per week for this position. There will be several opportunities for training and performance-based raises over time.

 

This position is part-time and will include nights and some weekends depending on events.
