JOB DESCRIPTION

Campaign Workers Guild (CWG) is a national independent union of campaign and political

workers. CWG looks forward to welcoming a dedicated individual who aligns with our mission

to improve our members’ work conditions, empower organizers, and promote healthy career

longevity. We represent two tiers of dues-paying members: Working and Associate. Working

members are covered under a CWG-negotiated CBA.

We are searching for a full-time Organizing Director who believes that campaign workers need

unions to fight for fair working conditions, better wages, and respect at work. A strong candidate

for this position has a strong understanding of the issues campaign workers face on the job, and

has familiarity with unions and the collective bargaining process. This position offers a diverse

array of responsibilities in organizing, bargaining, representation, institutional support, and

movement building. It offers the potential for professional growth within CWG.

This is a full-time, remote position. The hours are flexible and negotiable but may require

evening and weekend work in accordance with the availability of campaign workers and

executive council members. We offer a laptop, Healthcare reimbursement stipend of up to $500,

and a generous paid time off policy, including 15 paid vacation days per year and unlimited sick

leave, and bereavement. It is possible that limited paid travel with per diem may be required. Our

target onboarding date is in December 2024 and full time start date of January 2, 2024.

The Campaign Workers Guild is an equal-opportunity employer and is committed to

accommodating applicants with different workplace needs. We are dedicated to building an

inclusive culture in our union and encourage applications from all qualified individuals without

regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age,

national origin, marital status, citizenship, disability, veteran status and record of arrest or

conviction.
