Vikki Goodwin for Texas is seeking Organizing Fellows to join the campaign's statewide organizing program for the 2026 General Election. Organizing Fellows will work directly with the Organizing Department to recruit and develop volunteers, engage voters, and support the campaign's persuasion and voter contact programs across Texas.
This is a department-specific fellowship. Organizing Fellows will be embedded within the Organizing Department and will primarily support organizing and voter contact activities rather than serving as general campaign interns. Fellows will receive hands-on experience with a statewide organizing operation while taking responsibility for defined projects, volunteer relationships, and recurring work within the department.
The ideal candidate is outgoing, organized, comfortable talking with people from different backgrounds, and interested in learning how campaigns build grassroots organizations capable of persuading and turning out voters. Prior campaign experience is helpful but not required.

The broader Communications Director role explicitly integrates earned media, rapid response, candidate preparation, digital amplification, and coordination with the rest of the campaign, so I think fellows getting exposure across those areas makes sense rather than siloing them into only press clips or social media.
Previous experience with political campaigns, elected officials, advocacy organizations, labor organizations, student media, journalism, public relations, or political communications is a plus, but not required.
Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, video editing software, media monitoring tools, or campaign technology is also a plus.
Individuals who want to develop the skills necessary to pursue future work in campaign communications, political communications, or Democratic politics.
