The landscape of political campaigns has evolved — even in just four short years – and so too has the way we manage paid media budgets, documents, and communications.
Just as voters have changed the way they consume media, your role as Paid Media Coordinator is an essential element in connecting President Biden’s campaign message with the people we aim to reach. For many, the campaign's paid media efforts are the primary window into our mission. It's a significant responsibility, but it's also an incredibly rewarding one.
You’ll collaborate closely to help distill complex stories and policy matters into narratives that resonate. You can view “For You”, “History”, and “Willow’s Box” to see past examples of our team’s work.
Flexibility is a hallmark of this role. You must be ready to adapt, knowing that our requirements may evolve over time. Your ability to work closely with the team and support senior leadership needs will be essential as we continue to drive forward the paid media apparatus and collaborate with other Biden for President campaign departments.
Your mission is to connect the Biden for President campaign with our audience—knowing the voter, understanding the candidate, and bringing the two together in innovative and unconventional ways. You’ll help ensure our resources are used wisely to convey a tailored message to voters. From storytelling that rekindles what people love about Joe Biden to fact-checking that sets the record straight, you will approach your work with heart, empathy, and an unwavering commitment to putting the voter at the forefront of our efforts.
Responsibilities
Prepare research, presentations, and other materials
Assist in the preparation of research, presentations, and materials for Biden campaign leadership and other stakeholders
Research and prepare elements including video, photos, music, and quotes for use in ads
Produce, manage, and own documents related to the paid media program for cross functional stakeholders
Assist in creative post-production workstreams
Oversee archiving of campaign video footage, final ads, and scripts
Help organize media management database and identify assets for use in creative
Aid in preparing and shipping TV, radio, and digital creative
Track and manage production expenses
Assist in the ongoing tracking of production costs
Assist with tracking and workflows for accounts payable and receivable, generate spend tracking reports
Manage licensing of voiceover, images, and music for campaign ad spots
Support TV + paid media budget planning workstreams
Work with our team and our TV media buyers in the creation and upkeep of media planning documents including: media budgets, creative burnsheets, “Point Per Day” charts, and more
Help us monitor campaign performance and provide regular reporting and analysis:
Assist with media planning and TV competitive reporting workstreams
Assist with ad testing workflows of creative we produce for Biden for President and of incoming creative from our opponents
Provide support in a ‘jack of all trades’ function– assisting our team across the program. And become an indispensable part of our operation!

Blue Sky Strategy was founded by senior members of Biden for President and Future Forward—two record-breaking paid media operations in the 2020 cycle. The team brings decades of advertising and communications experience across political campaigns, the private sector, and government. The firm serves as the advertising agency of record for President Biden’s 2024 reelection effort and functions as one with the campaign.
