JOB DESCRIPTION

The Michigan Democratic Party is seeking an experienced Paid Programing and Out of State Director for the 2024 cycle. We are looking for a passionate, hardworking individual who is committed to working with paid direct voter contact and voter registration programing as well as working with partner organizations nationwide that want to be plugged into helping democrats here in Michigan this year. 

This position reports to the General Election Director and is based in Detroit, Michigan. 

Responsibilities 

● Intake interest from OOS groups and build relationships with leadership to get folks engaged in Michigan. 

● Collaborate with organizing and training departments to find the best fits for OOS groups and individuals to plug into the program. 

● Work with and hold accountable all paid programing including but not limited to paid canvassing, phone calls, voter registration 

● Work with campaign leadership to provide necessary resources to contracted vendors and keep in clear communication with all interested parties 

● Other responsibilities as assigned. 

 

Required Qualifications 

● 3+ cycles of organizing experience or equivalent 

● Experience working with vendors or specifically paid canvassing operations ● Experience and comfortable working and communicating with stakeholders and leaders or organizations 

● Must have access to a cell phone and vehicle.

This position offers a salary of $7,500 - $8,500 per month based on experience and includes a full benefits package with health, vision and dental insurance.
