CeaseFirePA fights for everyone to be able to live a life free from gun violence, where they feel and are safe. We are looking for an experienced coalition organizer and/or community leader to lead Pennsylvania Health Professionals to End Gun Violence, as well as grow and mobilize a faith-based coalition. The Partnership Coordinator will develop common ground, drive partners to take action, and create new advisory groups among these critical constituencies in conjunction with our organizing team to make it easier for our allies to make their case to end gun violence.
The Partnership Coordinator will help direct a core pillar of our strategy to end gun violence by elevating the voices of critical partners. These responsibilities include:
Leading Stakeholders to Action: You will step into leading existing vibrant coalitions, composed of health care professionals, community organizations, interfaith groups, and other stakeholders, further expanding, developing and driving them to take strategic action toward life-saving policy change. This inclusive approach will leverage diverse perspectives and resources, fostering a united front in addressing the critical issue of ending gun violence.
Pennsylvania Health Professionals to End Gun Violence – the Partnership Coordinator will support and grow a new statewide coalition of health professionals across Pennsylvania, who work tirelessly to save and care for gunshot wound patients, who have come together to advocate for policy changes to address the gun violence epidemic.
Interfaith Coalition to End Gun Violence – the Partnership Coordinator will convene and advance interfaith leaders’ moral case to end gun violence. The manager will activate faith leaders to mobilize their congregants to advocate for gun safety policies which give the value of life the highest priority.
Craft Compelling Constituency-Specific Strategies & Tactics: For each coalition, you will work closely with our internal communications and policy team to build communications content targeted at specific audiences, identify training needs and solutions that invigorate each coalition’s power-building capacity, and draft media content to make it easier for our partners to advocate for solutions to gun violence.
Collaborate with a team of organizers and advocates to mobilize, engage, and recruit these constituencies locally
QUALIFICATIONS:
3+ years of experience building, supporting, and managing coalitions or comparable skills with a preference for experience related to public policy organizing and advocacy;
Ability to facilitate and drive conversations toward consensus;
Self-starter who is able to work independently, enjoys creating and implementing new initiatives (including making a persuasive case for implementation)
Team builder who can adjust their messaging and approach to engage different constituencies based on their need and connect their work to CeaseFirePA’s mission;
Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills;
Superior attention to detail;
Thrives on managing several projects at the same time, and can adapt to shifting narratives and political circumstances
PREFERRED: Experience working with CRMs (ex. EveryAction) and digital marketing tools to help coordinate coalition activities; and
BONUS: Experience working with or in the public health and/or interfaith community.
LOCATION: Eastern PA
SALARY & BENEFITS: Salary is $50,000-$60,000, depending on ability and experience. As a full-time position, the Partnership Coordinator is eligible for our excellent benefits package, including fully-covered health care for them and one dependent, paid time off, retirement plan with matching support, and a training stipend.
