Position Overview

CivicMail.org is seeking a part-time (20 hours per week) Partnerships Manager to develop, manage, and grow strategic relationships with nonprofit organizations, advocacy groups, influencers, unions, educators, campaigns, and mission-aligned organizations that want to mobilize supporters through postcard advocacy campaigns.

 

This role is responsible for identifying partnership opportunities, onboarding partners, supporting campaign launches, tracking campaign performance, and ensuring strong long-term partner relationships that drive postcard sends, revenue growth, and civic engagement impact.

 

The ideal candidate is highly organized, politically aware, relationship-driven, entrepreneurial, and excited about grassroots advocacy, digital organizing, and movement-building.

Key Responsibilities

Partnership Development

  • Identify and recruit nonprofit organizations, advocacy groups, unions, creators, influencers, and civic organizations to launch campaigns on CivicMail.org

  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective partners

  • Conduct outreach via email, phone, LinkedIn, conferences, and networking

  • Develop strategic partnership proposals and presentations

  • Negotiate partnership terms and campaign structures

 

Campaign Management

  • Guide partners through campaign onboarding and launch processes

  • Coordinate campaign timelines, assets, messaging, and approvals

  • Ensure campaigns are aligned with CivicMail standards and platform policies

  • Assist partners with campaign strategy, audience targeting, and supporter engagement

  • Monitor campaign performance and recommend optimizations

 

Revenue & Reporting

  • Track partner campaign performance, postcard sends, and revenue generation

  • Maintain accurate records of partner agreements, commission structures, and payout terms

  • Coordinate with finance and administration teams on settlement reporting and payouts

  • Generate campaign and partnership performance reports

  • Help establish scalable workflows for partner tracking and attribution

 

Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for partner organizations and creators

  • Build long-term relationships that encourage recurring campaigns

  • Maintain regular communication with partners through updates, strategy calls, and reporting

  • Resolve partner issues and ensure a high-quality partner experience

 

Marketing & Growth Collaboration

  • Collaborate with marketing teams on:

  • Launch campaigns

  • Co-branded promotions

  • Influencer activations

  • Referral programs

  • Social sharing initiatives

  • Help identify high-performing issue areas and trending advocacy opportunities

  • Assist with conference attendance, webinars, and public-facing outreach

 

Qualifications

Required

  • 2+ years of experience in partnerships, business development, advocacy, political campaigns, nonprofit outreach, influencer management, or related fields

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills

  • Excellent organizational and project management abilities

  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously

  • Familiarity with grassroots advocacy, nonprofit organizing, civic engagement, or political campaigns

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-moving startup environment

  • Strong writing and presentation skills

 

Preferred

  • While this is a remote position, we do prefer a candidate based in the Eastern or Central Time Zones.

  • Experience working with nonprofits, advocacy organizations, unions, or political campaigns

  • Familiarity with CRM systems, digital organizing platforms, or fundraising tools

  • Experience managing influencer or affiliate partnerships

  • Understanding of digital marketing and campaign analytics

  • Passion for civic engagement, democracy, libraries, education, free expression, or social impact causes

Compensation

  • Salary: $30.00 per hour + performance incentives/commission tied to campaign and partnership growth
