Political Chief of Staff

The Haley Stevens for Senate is seeking a Political Chief of Staff for the 2026 election cycle to support our robust political program. The Political Chief of Staff serves as a core member of the Political Department. This role is responsible for supporting the execution of political events, coordinating endorsers, managing political team scheduling priorities, and cross departmental alignment as well as collaboration.
This individual must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced campaign environment.
This position reports directly to the Campaign Manager and the Political Director. Relocation to Detroit, MI is required.

Core Functions and Responsibilities:
Build, maintain, and manage relationships with political and coalition leads in Michigan.
Coordinating logistics such as venue management and briefings
Strong time management, verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills
Track engagement, maintain stakeholder records, and ensure follow-up and relationship continuity.
Experience managing events and coalitions
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in campaigns, advocacy, or coalition building roles. MI campaign experience as well as statewide experience is a ** plus**.
Proven ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with community leaders, local organizations, and institutional stakeholders.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through.
Comfort with fast-paced environments and the ability to manage multiple moving parts simultaneously.
Familiarity with endorsement processes and navigating stakeholder engagement

Hours: Full time position. This position’s schedule will vary based on the needs of the campaign and point in the cycle, and is likely to require evening and weekend work over the course of the election cycle.
