The Mission
Mark Kelly for Senate is the campaign organization for Senator Mark Kelly of Arizona. Re-elected to a six-year term in 2022 after a ground-breaking win in the 2020 special election, Senator Kelly is a proven leader in the Senate and an independent voice for Arizonans. Mark Kelly for Senate is continuing to build its team by hiring a full-time Political Director to oversee and grow the campaign’s stakeholder and political program.
The Opportunity
Our Political Director will lead all in-state and national political outreach and stakeholder operations. They will work closely with the Senior Advisor, Chief of Staff, and key members of the leadership team to mobilize Senator Kelly’s political network.

Duties
Manage the campaign’s statewide and national political program
Serve as the primary point of contact for national organizations, electoral campaigns, political partners, and key stakeholders
Maintain the campaign’s network of stakeholders and manage all stakeholder communications
Expand the campaign’s network of surrogates and validators for deployment in person and online
Direct regular political events that can adapt to a quickly evolving political environment
Collaborate with other departments to execute regular travel swings around the state and nationally, staffing trips and events as needed
Develop tailored outreach strategies for key constituencies and manage the execution of those strategies
Qualifications
Required
At least one cycle as a statewide political director or deputy political director, or equivalent
Experience executing high-level stewardship programs across various constituencies and coalitions
Proven success in managing campaign events in various formats
Demonstrated ability to manage and execute multiple programs simultaneously.
Familiarity with NGPVan
At least two campaign cycles of principal staffing.
Preferred, but not required
Knowledge of Arizona electoral politics or prior involvement in Arizona campaigns.
Background in one or more battleground statewide races.
Previous work with an incumbent.
