Fall 2024 Political Internship
Debbie Mucarsel-Powell’s campaign for U.S. Senate is seeking dedicated interns for the Fall 2024 semester. Interns will work with our political team to help support our ongoing efforts to elect Debbie and flip Florida blue!
Responsibilities:
Political Intern
Compile briefings and event materials
Staff virtual and in-person events as needed
Conduct Direct Voter Contact (DVC) through canvassing and phone-banking
Represent the campaign on campus by tabling and hosting events
Support other local, state, and federal campaigns
Collaborate with local leaders
Provide key administrative and organizational support for the political team
Assist with various campaign departments as needed
Perform other duties to support the political team
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Reside in Florida
Availability to work some evenings and weekends
Strong commitment to diversity, inclusion, equity, and anti-racism
Committed to Defeating Rick Scott in November
Valued Skills and Qualifications (preferred but not required):
Prior campaign experience
Customer service experience
Involvement in On-Campus Democratic Chapter
Academic Credit
We will assist interns in securing academic credit if applicable. The position starts as soon as possible, with a commitment of approximately 15-20 hours per week through November 2024.
