Dan Schwartz is running to represent Maryland's 1st Congressional District and is the

clear frontrunner in the Democratic primary. He has already secured endorsements

from Congressman Raskin, Congresswoman Elfreth and Governor Moore. We are

building a strong, people-powered campaign and are looking for a motivated Political

Organizer to help our team with field and finance in order to lay the groundwork for

taking on Republican Congressman Andy Harris.

Job Description:

The Political Organizer will be responsible for executing conventional field organizing

activities, staffing fundraising events, conducting outreach for meet-and-greets and

other political engagements, and scheduling meetings with community groups,

stakeholders, donors, and partner organizations. The role requires strong

organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills, as well as the ability to

manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced political environment.

Responsibilities:

● Execute field organizing activities including canvassing, phone banking, voter

registration, and volunteer recruitment and management

● Staff and support fundraising events, meet-and-greets, and other political

engagements

● Conduct community and donor outreach to identify, cultivate, and maintain

relationships with key stakeholders

● Coordinate scheduling and logistics for meetings with community groups, elected

officials, donors, and coalition partners

● Track organizing and finance activities using campaign tools and databases

● Represent the campaign professionally at public events and in community

settings

● Support the broader campaign team on special projects and election-related

activities as needed

Qualifications

● Prior experience in political organizing, campaign work, community outreach, or

a related field is preferred

● Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

simultaneously

● Excellent written and verbal communication skills

● Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse

constituencies

● Self-starter with a high degree of initiative and the ability to work independently

and collaboratively

● Familiarity with VAN, NGP, or similar campaign platforms is a plus

● Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation required

● Spanish is a plus
