This position requires 40 hours of service across 5 days of Early Voting (June 13, 14, 20, 21)
and Election Day (June 23, 2026). Shifts will be scheduled in coordination with the campaign
across priority locations.
Responsibilities
● Represent the campaign at assigned poll sites by holding signs, distributing
literature, and engaging with voters in a positive and welcoming manner
● Maintain a visible and enthusiastic presence outside the required buffer zone from poll
site entrances in compliance with New York State election law
● Distribute palm cards, flyers, and other campaign materials to voters approaching the
polls
● Engage with voters in a friendly, non-confrontational way to build support and name
recognition for the candidate
● Coordinate with the campaign's field team to ensure consistent coverage across
assigned locations
● Track and report voter contact and literature distribution at the end of each shift
● Wear campaign merchandise (buttons, t-shirts, etc.) as provided by the campaign
● Communicate any issues or incidents at the poll site to the campaign supervisor
immediately
Qualifications
● Strong enthusiasm for progressive campaign mission
● Ability to stand for extended periods outdoors in varying weather conditions
● Punctual, reliable, and able to commit to a full shift schedule
● Strong interpersonal skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor
● Prior campaign or canvassing experience is a plus but not required
● Must be familiar with or willing to learn New York State electioneering laws and buffer
zone requirements
Compensation
● $20/hr
● Campaign merchandise provided
● 1 hour paid training at $20/hr
