JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking an experienced and analytical Campaign Pollster for our dynamic political campaign team. As a crucial member of our strategy team, you will be responsible for designing, conducting, and analyzing polls to gauge public opinion and inform campaign strategies. Your insights will guide our messaging, policy positions, and voter outreach efforts, helping us to secure victories in the upcoming elections for Position 6 on the McKenzie School District #68 School Board in Finn Rock, Oregon, and Position 6 (at-large) for Lane Education Service District Board of Directors in Lane County, OR.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and conduct polls and surveys to measure voter preferences, opinions, and trends.

  • Analyze and interpret poll data to identify strategic insights and potential shifts in voter sentiment.

  • Work closely with the campaign team to translate data insights into actionable strategies for messaging, advertising, and voter outreach.

  • Monitor and report on competitors’ positions, public reception, and campaign effectiveness.

  • Stay abreast of political developments, district-specific issues, and educational policies that may impact the campaign.

  • Provide regular briefings to the campaign manager and key team members on polling results and recommendations.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Statistics, or a related field. Advanced degrees are preferred. A degree will not be required if you have the necessary experience.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in polling or political data analysis, preferably within political campaigns or public opinion research firms.

  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., SPSS, Stata, R).

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex data in an understandable manner.

  • Proven ability to work under tight deadlines and adapt to changing campaign needs.

  • A deep understanding of the political landscape and education policies in Oregon is highly desirable.
