Moore Campaigns works with Democrats and progressive organizations across the country to strategize, develop and execute direct mail campaigns that integrate eye-catching design and cutting-edge targeting to craft impactful messaging for campaigns. Working in a collaborative environment with staff members and outside vendors, the Production Director is a senior-level position that will be involved in a wide range of projects across many aspects of our work. This is a great opportunity to put your logistical skills to work while helping dozens of Democratic candidates and progressive campaigns succeed in 2025, 2026 midterms and beyond.
Primary Responsibilities:
Working with print and mail vendors to plan and manage end-to end projects, from initial pricing, project scoping, and placing orders, to approving proofs, final quality control, verification of details, and ensuring projects are on schedule
Confirming that production schedules are viable and managing vendors to ensure timelines are achievable and met
Working with the senior leader team on pricing margins and coordinating a variety of pricing grids with print and mail vendors
Coordinating with all staff to ensure production timelines are met and materials are designed to specification
Collaborating with the team on the best possible vendor selection due to capabilities, timing, and shipping
Tracking postage and shipping information using USPS website and other systems
Ensuring that production invoices align with client budgets, raising concerns early in the project
Serving as primary billing contact for all company vendors, coding and reviewing bills for accuracy, reconciling invoices with cost actuals, and paying vendors through our payment system
Collaborate with finance team to ensure billing and payment accuracy, and finalize project profit-ablity
Other senior-level agency management responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications:
At least 5 years of work experience in a fast-paced, or surge-work environment. Political and nonprofit experience welcome; other work experience is equally valuable, such as event production, project management, retail ordering and staff management, and small business leadership.
Keen attention to detail
Superior organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills
Strong professional verbal and written communication skills
High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel
Experience supervising vendors and holding colleagues and contractors accountable to deadlines and details.
Familiarity with print / mail production, VAN, financial management systems, and generalized human resources in small boutique-sized agencies preferred, but not required
Availability to work East Coast business hours M-F with some evening and weekend hours, as requested
