JOB DESCRIPTION

The Student Turnout Projects (STP) are a collection of state-based organizations working to get out the vote on college campuses in four key states in 2024. Leveraging creative and scrappy digital and in-person tactics, our team based at Strategic Victory Fund (SVF) supports in-state leaders as they build and run programming.

This role will begin in August 2024 and runs through January 2025.

What will you do?

As SVF invests in Student Turnout Projects, you will work with our national team to support in-state leaders in executing creative and scrappy campus organizing programs. You will:

  • Support a team of creative individuals working to execute large-scale campus organizing programs

  • Work with Special Projects Director to develop trainings, resources, and other programmatic materials for campus organizing programs

  • Work with fundraising team to develop materials and updates for funders

  • Assist in tracking and following up on the progress of state programs

  • Help facilitate communication between/among state leadership teams and the national STP team

  • Execute additional programmatic priorities as needed

Who are you?

We recognize that it is highly unlikely that even well-qualified candidates will meet 100% of the qualifications for a role. If much of this job description describes you, please apply for this role.

The ideal candidate:

  • Has experience working on or volunteering with a political or issue advocacy campaign. Experience with campus organizing is a plus.

  • Is a do-er and a self-starter; able to take the reins and execute through ambiguity

  • Is highly organized and able to manage competing priorities

  • Is comfortable working in a fast-paced, start-up environment. You’re flexible to a changing environment and excited to “build the plane while flying it.”

  • Is able to work weekends and irregular hours as required.

Job Details: Salary starts at $55,000, commensurate with experience, and includes a competitive benefits package including medical, dental & vision, life insurance, long-term disability coverage, parental leave, 401(k) and paid time off. This role begins in August 2024 and runs through January 2025. This role is located in Washington DC. This role may involve significant travel to focus states.

To Apply: Please submit this short application.
