Project Assistant Job Description
Cristina Ayala Consulting Strategies & Management (CACSM) is growing! And we’re looking to expand the Project Assistant team. This is a great role for a Texas-based student, recent graduate, and/or someone exploring progressive political work and fundraising.
As a Project Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the Principal & Managing Director in the management of a portfolio of various clients and client projects. Project Assistants coordinate initiatives, provide administrative support, conduct research, manage data, and ensure seamless project execution.

Ability to turn work around diligently and efficiently; able to meet tight deadlines
Ability to self-manage time and several tasks/projects at the same time
Show initiative, forethought, and anticipate needs for both the principal and client portfolio
Capacity and skill to represent the organization publicly
Familiarity with G-Suite necessary
Fluency in CRMs like Numero, ActionNetwork, and NGP VAN a plus
Texas-based, Austin preferred but not necessary
Job Responsibilities
Report to the Principal & Managing Director and work closely on all assigned projects & clients
Maintain the company CRM, cleaning data and managing clean data uploads
Conduct and manage call time with clients, including preparing call sheets, tracking progress, and motivating the candidate/client
Draft, set up, and distribute call time follow-up communications for clients
Staff fundraising events, assist with event logistics, and provide on-site support to ensure successful execution.
Process contributions, maintain accurate donor records, and ensure donors receive timely acknowledgments and relevant information.
Research prospective donors, identifying key opportunities to enhance fundraising strategies.
Create and manage donor and prospect lists from local, state, and national databases.
Assist in writing and editing fundraising communications, donor outreach materials, and event invitations.
Maintain organized records, track project deadlines, and ensure timely completion of all assigned tasks.
Other duties as assigned to support fundraising operations and organizational success
Compensation
Work Environment
CACSM is a hybrid-office environment. Day-to-day work can be conducted virtually and event-based work will be conducted in person as determined by the Principal.
Travel within Texas may be required for some meetings, events, or site visits
Availability to work Monday through Friday and occasionally on nights and weekends as needed.
The role requires long periods of sitting and using a computer and some light physical tasks, such as printing, packing, and event set-up
Ability to communicate effectively in person, on video, and via phone.
