One House Strategies is seeking a Project Manager to work across a portfolio of projects, including but not limited to candidate campaigns, civic engagement projects, and research projects. We are looking for someone who is an energetic self-starter, goal oriented, great at multitasking, and forecasting short and long term needs.
The Project Manager will work very closely with project funders and candidates and be responsible for oversight of a broad range of campaign and project functions. They will also coordinate staff and volunteers to ensure those functions run smoothly. The Project Manager will develop the overall campaign strategy and serve as the lead contact with external vendors and internal program teams with mentorship from senior staff.
Duties & Areas of Activity:
80% Project/Campaign Management
Develop a project/campaign plan, set goals and regularly ensure they are met
Maintain project/campaign calendar and scheduling
Track project/campaign progress and work closely with external stakeholders, coalition teams, and the internal team to provide updates and seek input
Manage project/campaign communications, including paid and earned media, social media, endorsements, events, direct voter contact, fundraising, and messaging (as appropriate)
Coordinate with program teams to ensure deliverables arrive on time and on message
Attend public events and fundraisers as necessary
Develop and place creative assets
Light travel may be required
20% Client Management
Coordinate approvals for project/campaign materials with necessary parties
Meet with stakeholders on a regular basis to develop project/campaign strategy and goals, and provide updates
Desired Qualifications:
One or more cycles of campaign experience or project management
Bachelors Degree or higher qualification preferred
Personal laptop and vehicle, strongly preferred
Strong attention to detail, self-directed, flexible, takes a “no task too small” approach
Fluent in Google Workspace, particularly Sheets, Docs, and Drive
Familiarity with NGP VAN (voter software) or ability to learn quickly
Exceptional skills in diplomacy, strategy, negotiation, consensus building, and relationship development
Strong, direct communication skills
Ability to make difficult decisions and manage conflict
Excellent organizational skills
Comfortable working long, irregular hours in a fast-paced environment under deadlines
Ability to work independently in a virtual environment when applicable
Comfortable and exceptional at talking with voters through canvassing and other means when required
Terms:

Salary Range: $48,000-$63,000/year
Location: Hybrid virtual and in office work environment in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Applicant must be willing to relocate to Lincoln or Nebraska within a commutable
distance. Due to the nature of our work, being in-office is encouraged, especially during
the busy campaign season, remote work is not guaranteed every week.
