Job Title: Quality Control Director

Location: DFW, Texas - Harris County - Bexar County

Reports To: Regional Organizing Director

Position Type: Full-Time, Exempt

End Date: October 15, 2025

 

The Role: 

The Cornerstone Project is seeking hardworking and detail-oriented candidates to support our youth voter registration efforts at Texas universities.

The Quality Control Director will be responsible for overseeing the integrity and accuracy of all voter registration data and forms submitted by our field teams in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. This role involves managing the data entry process, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, and maintaining the quality of voter registration efforts. The Quality Control Director will work closely with the Regional Organizing Director and field teams to address any issues with forms, implement quality control procedures, and ensure that all voter registrations are submitted correctly and on time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Entry & Verification:

  • Ensure the accurate and timely entry of voter registration data into the organization’s databases or voter registration systems.

  • Verify voter registration forms submitted by field teams, ensuring they are complete, accurate, and compliant with state and federal laws.

  • Cross-check and resolve discrepancies, errors, or incomplete information on voter registration forms.

  • Manage the Data Entry system for your region. 

  • Quality Control & Process Management:

  • Implement and oversee comprehensive quality control procedures to ensure all voter registration forms are processed and recorded correctly.

  • Identify recurring errors, data discrepancies, or inefficiencies in the registration process and work to resolve them quickly.

  • Conduct regular audits of submitted forms and data to ensure compliance with organizational standards and legal requirements.

  • Collaboration with Field Teams:

  • Work closely with campus organizers to ensure the timely and accurate collection and submission of voter registration forms.

  • Provide guidance and training to field staff on proper data entry practices, form completion, and the quality control process.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or concerns raised by field teams regarding voter registration forms.

  • Voter Registration Forms Processing:

  • Ensure that completed voter registration forms are accurately submitted to county or state election authorities within the deadlines.

  • Maintain organized records of all voter registration submissions and manage the tracking of forms to ensure timely processing.

  • Document and track the chain of custody for all voter registration forms from collection to submission.

  • Reporting & Documentation:

  • Generate regular reports for the Regional Organizing Director on the status of voter registration forms, quality control issues, and any corrective actions taken.

  • Maintain thorough and up-to-date records of all voter registration activities, audits, and quality control processes.

  • Provide clear documentation of any issues or delays in the registration process and ensure proper follow-up.

  • Problem-Solving & Troubleshooting:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for resolving issues related to data entry, registration form discrepancies, or the submission process.

  • Identify and address challenges or errors in real time, implementing solutions to maintain the integrity and accuracy of voter registration efforts.

  • Develop and implement corrective action plans to address recurring or significant quality control issues.

  • Compliance & Best Practices:

  • Stay informed about changes in voter registration laws, policies, and procedures to ensure ongoing compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

  • Ensure that the organization’s processes align with best practices for voter registration, data collection, and submission.

  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the team, identifying opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Experience:

  • At least 1 cycle of experience in operations, data entry, quality control, or a similar role, preferably in political campaigns, nonprofit organizations, or civic engagement initiatives, is preferred but not required.

  • Experience with voter registration processes, data systems like Blocks or Votebuilder, or field operations is strongly preferred.

  • Familiarity with the Texas voter registration process, laws, and regulations is a plus.

  • Skills & Abilities:

  • Exceptional attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and data integrity.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.), and experience with databases or voter registration management systems.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and field staff.

  • Ability to work independently and manage quality control processes with minimal supervision.

  • Work Environment:

  • This position is based in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and will require regular in-office presence at our local office or field locations.

  • Occasional travel to field sites or community events in the DFW area may be required.

  • Ability to work 45 - 50 hours per week June through July, and up to 55 hours per week August through the Voter Registration deadline in October.

  • Flexibility in working hours may be necessary, particularly as deadlines for voter registration submissions approach.

Compensation:

This position pays $5,000 per month. Your compensation includes PTO and 100% medical, dental, and vision insurance.
