Friends of Rebecca Amidon is seeking a full-time Campaign Manager to oversee the daily operations of a competitive campaign for Michigan’s State Senate. SD 32, consists of the entirety of Benzie, Mason, and Oceana counties, and contains portions of Manistee county and Muskegon County.
Develop and maintain the campaign plan and budget, as well as fundraising and field plans alongside the candidate and campaign team
Provide support in responding to endorsement questionnaires, prepping the candidate for engagements, forums and press opportunities, drafting messages, and managing stakeholder relationships
Run team meetings and delegate responsibilities accordingly
Oversee fundraising by implementing tested as well as innovative fundraising strategies
This includes planning, staffing, and managing candidate call time
Assist Treasurer with updating and maintaining donor records, including managing appropriate trackers, software, and reports
Maintain the candidate and campaign schedules; enforce critical deadlines
Manage the existing social media team and email program
Manage staff and volunteer or fellowship program(s)
Manage field strategy in coordination with the Field Director
Coordinate with the Events & Fundraising Director
Make calls, text, and canvas
Demonstrated experience working directly with elected officials or candidates
At least 1 cycle of campaign experience
Proven staff management and leadership experience
Strong strategic judgment, organizational skills, and attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with long and non-traditional hours
Proficiency in Google Workspace
Strong working knowledge of NGP, VAN, ActBlue
Michigan political experience strongly preferred
Ability to regularly work in-district
Willingness to live in supporter housing if not local to the district
Access to a vehicle and a cell phone are required
