In 2024, Relentless is running a first-of-its-kind compensated relational program at scale across battleground states using Rally. This program will hire 20,000+ low turnout voters to become relational organizers in their communities and turn their friends and families out to vote. 

Relentless programs specialize in activating low-turnout, high-opportunity voter communities who are often difficult to reach via traditional electoral voter contact methods – which means we need to think outside the box and work creatively to leverage a variety of tactics, including tactics from sectors outside of the political space. We’re looking for an entrepreneurial Recruitment Director to own the design and execution of our 2024 recruitment strategy. 

The Recruitment Director is a trailblazing role that will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive, multi-channel recruitment strategy to meet our ambitious recruitment goals. This strategic role involves managing a seven figure recruitment budget, owning the recruitment process from planning to execution, and leveraging data to optimize recruitment efforts. We’re looking for a creative problem solver who, even if they don’t have expertise in all of the program areas, can recruit and manage a team who does and can creatively problem-solve to accomplish our program goals.

- An organizing or digital leader with experience in scaling large projects (marches, activist campaigns, statewide electoral programs)
- A business professional with previous experience as a volunteer or paid staffer in political campaigns 
- A powerhouse digital organizer with field experience who’s ready to take ownership of a multi-state recruitment operation
- A marketer with experience creatively reaching under-served communities 

Location: Remote
Compensation: $108,000 - $150,000, depending on experience
Benefits: 100% employer-paid health and life insurance, 99% employer-paid dental and vision insurance
Schedule: Full-time through November 15, 2024 

- Develop and implement a strategic recruitment plan to hire over 20,000 independent contractors across battleground states
- Build and manage a team to execute recruitment efforts, including:
- A texting program with capacity to send and reply to over 12 million texts 
- An on-the-ground recruitment operation with organizers in targeted states 
- Other tactics as identified by the Recruitment Director (for example – digital marketing, recruitment via partner organizations, private sector staffing solutions, etc)
- Manage and allocate the recruitment budget efficiently to maximize outcomes.
- Create a structure for evaluating the ROI of recruitment tactics on as frequent as an hourly basis during program time, with the agility to pivot strategies as necessary.
- Be accountable for key performance indicators (KPIs) related to the recruitment funnel, including cost per application and cost per accepted applicant
- Closely monitor and report on the success of the recruitment program against KPIs

- Demonstrated experience managing a team of 5+ people
- 5+ years of experience
- A great project manager with the ability to balance competing priorities and pivot quickly 
- Facility with data-driven decision-making
- A deep commitment to fighting for progressive electoral outcomes 
- Experience in digital and/or field organizing for campaigns ideal but not required
- Experience in digital marketing ideal but not required
