The ** Regional Field Director** is responsible for growing political activism, organizing, and volunteer engagement in an assigned region within the borough of The Bronx. This role is crucial in building grassroots support, coordinating outreach efforts, and ensuring the campaign’s success through direct voter engagement and strategic field efforts.
Campaign Organizing & Outreach
Develop and execute regional field strategies to mobilize voters and drive engagement.
Carry petitions and collect petition signatures in accordance with campaign guidelines.
Recruit, train, and manage volunteers for canvassing, phone banking, and community outreach efforts.
Schedule and manage regional events, including canvassing shifts, volunteer huddles, phone banks, text banks, and campaign-wide organizing initiatives.
Coordinate with the Campaign Manager and Field Director to identify target areas for grassroots outreach and activation.
Cut, manage, and assign canvassing turf for volunteers, ensuring efficient voter outreach.
Engage directly with voters in the assigned region to hit outreach and persuasion goals.
Maintain and expand relationships with community members, activists, and local organizations to build campaign support.
Volunteer Management & Event Coordination
Organize and oversee canvassing shifts, house parties, rallies, and fundraising events.
Recruit participants for campaign events and maintain strong engagement.
Lead efforts to expand volunteer teams within the assigned region.
Liaise between the campaign and local organizations, groups, and constituents to facilitate meetings and collaboration.
Reporting & Communication
Provide regular, detailed reports on field activities, volunteer engagement, and voter outreach metrics.
Participate in campaign calls, meetings, and strategy discussions as needed.
Ensure all outreach efforts align with the campaign’s broader goals and adapt strategies as necessary.
Prior experience in political campaigns, community organizing, or grassroots activism.
Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to train and motivate volunteers.
Ability to work independently while coordinating with a broader team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on relationship-building.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Knowledge of voter outreach tools (e.g., VAN, MiniVAN) is a plus.
Familiarity with The Bronx’s political landscape and key community issues is preferred.
