Position: Regional Finance Director
Reports to: In-State Finance Director
Location: Raleigh, NC
Salary:$7,500/month
Description:
Cooper for North Carolina is looking to hire a full-time Regional Finance Director to join our growing Finance team based in Raleigh, North Carolina. The Regional Finance Director will report to the Deputy National Finance Director, and play a critical role in supporting our fundraising operation. The ideal candidate is hard-working, self-motivated and detail oriented.
Qualifications:
At least one cycle of campaign finance experience
Demonstrated interest in politics and Democratic campaigns
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Self-motivated team player
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Access to reliable transportation (and a valid driver's license)
Ability to work non-traditional hours as needed
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Suite
Responsibilities:
Work with finance team to meet fundraising goals, including supervising finance assistant(s) and intern(s)
Staffing fundraising events and meetings
Traveling across North Carolina for events
Building fundraising events from start to finish, including identifying hosts; building outreach lists for call time, phone, and email outreach; creating invitations; and executing follow up
Cultivating donor support to grow their investment in the campaign, raise from their networks, host events, etc.
Conducting donor research to identify new prospective donors and update donor records
Assisting with other campaign-related activities as needed
Compensation
Salary: $7,500 per month
Healthcare premium covered by campaign
Hours: Full-time position. This position’s schedule will vary based on the needs of the campaign and point in the cycle, and is likely to require evening and weekend work over the course of the election cycle.
