Don Davis for NC is seeking regional organizing directors (RODs) to manage field and organizing operations within NC-01. The positions are based in eastern North Carolina, NC-01, and will last through November 2026.
Responsibilities
Work with Campaign Manager to execute and manage field strategy includingday-to-day campaign operations, activities, and workflow.
Execute the campaign’s field plan by (projected to be 75% of ROD’s duties):○Recruiting, training, and manager a volunteer base
Managing a robust field program that includes traditional and innovative fieldtactics.
Implementing and executing a GOTV strategy and collaborating with existinggroups within district to ensure all areas of GOTV are covered and avoidduplication of efforts.
Build and maintain relationships with local stakeholders, as well as local partyand community leaders.
Develop a deep understanding of demographics, local issues, political trends, aswell as opportunities and challenges for Democrats within district.
Staff assorted events within district including weekly canvasses/phonebanks,meet-and-greets, and miscellaneous political events as needed.
Work with campaign staff to meet specific deadlines.
Miscellaneous tasks as determined by the Campaign Manager.
Qualifications
Experience working with volunteers, customer service, or other public-facing roles.
Past political organizing experience as a fellow or volunteer preferred
Familiarity with Votebuilder/VAN is a bonus
Ability to adapt to evolving priorities
Comfortable working in metrics and a deadline-driven environment
Access to reliable transportation across the entirety of the organizing region and theability to work evening and weekend hours
Comfortable scheduling self, volunteers, and constituents for events/meetings
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects independently
These positions will report directly to the Campaign Manager and Organizing Director as well as the Candidate, and the Senior Advisor when necessary.
